Title: Chef de Cuisine
Reports to: Executive Chef

Overview

The chef de cuisine reports to the Westport Hospitality Executive Chef and is responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen, managing all food preparation and dish washing employees, and providing professional leadership and direction to kitchen personnel. This team member ensures that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet restaurant specifications and commitment to quality.

Maintains a safe, orderly and sanitized kitchen. Demonstrates this by example, using proper food handling techniques. This position will be responsible for ordering, menu engineering withdirection from Executive Chef, cost control, as well as supervision and training of staff.

Requirements

  • Work all stations in the kitchen efficiently.

  • Available to work holidays and weekends.

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly.

  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs repeatedly.
